IPNF Abandoned Mine Closure

The IPNF is seeking a contractor to close an abandoned mine adit by backfilling and installing a culvert. The mine is located on the St Joe Ranger District and poses a hazard to public health and safety, as well as to wildlife. The adit closure is required due to extremely unstable and hazardous conditions. The contractor must provide a combination grated PVC pipe/backfill type closure. • The period of performance is from 09/30/2026 to 09/30/2027. • The contractor must acknowledge receipt of the amendment prior to the hour and date specified in the solicitation or as amended. • The contracting officer may revise paragraphs (b)(1) and/or (b)(2) of the clause to establish a lower percentage in accordance with 28.102-2(b). • The contractor must furnish any required performance and payment bonds, however, if the contract value is below $35,000, no bonding is required.
