Advancing Global Health

The Department of State's Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy is inviting eligible applicants to advance the America First Global Health Strategy through its new Advancing Global Health (AGH) program. This program aims to save lives, strengthen health systems, enhance efficiency, foster self-reliance, and ensure U.S. investments benefit American safety, strength, and prosperity. The program will support projects that complement, extend, and/or fill identified gaps in the implementation of bilateral Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with partner governments. Key areas of focus include saving lives, strengthening health systems, enhancing efficiency, fostering self-reliance, and ensuring U.S. investments directly benefit American safety, strength, and prosperity. Some key points to consider: • The program will provide funding for projects that align with the America First Global Health Strategy. • Eligible applicants include U.S. and foreign private for-profit enterprises, public and private institutions of higher education, organizations, including faith-based organizations, and public international organizations. • The program will support projects that address health challenges and priorities of importance, including those related to the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. • The application process involves submitting a Statement of Interest (SOI) in response to specific Addenda, which will be posted on grants.gov. • The SOI should include a concise concept note, a table listing critical details, and a narrative that describes the proposed project approach and intended outcomes. • The Department of State will review and evaluate SOIs based on criteria such as the quality of the program idea, organizational capacity, and program planning.
