2026 Agricultural Fairgrounds Infrastructure Improvement Program

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets (the “Department”) is pleasedto announce the availability of funds for the 2026 Agricultural Fairgrounds InfrastructureImprovement Program (the “Program”). This Program will provide funding for fairgroundsinfrastructure improvements to enhance visitor and exhibitor enjoyment of the county andlocal fairs in New York State. Eligible applicants for this Program are agricultural or horticultural corporations andcounty extension service associations that sponsor an annual fair or exposition for thepromotion of agriculture and domestic arts and receive premium reimbursementspursuant to section 286 of the New York State Agriculture and Markets Law. NOTE: Eligible applicants must have an executed contract or received approval for a workplan and budget for the use of available funds previously awarded under the AgriculturalFairgrounds Infrastructure Improvement Program before they can apply for this grantopportunity. Eligible Projectsa) Construction, renovation, alteration, rehabilitation, improvements, installation,acquisition, repair or replacement of fairground buildings, equipment or permanent ortemporary facilities used to house or promote agriculture; orb) Construction, renovation, alteration, rehabilitation, improvements, installation,acquisition, repair or replacement of water systems, restrooms, septic systems, and/orstorm water management systems on fairgrounds or in fairground buildings.
