The City of New York is seeking qualified contractors to fully reconstruct Mannahatta Park in Queens. The project involves demolition of existing site elements, extensive earthwork, utility upgrades, installation of custom concrete pavers on an asphalt base, placement of steel pipe bollards (fixed and removable), new landscape planting, and installation of park furnishings and security lighting. All work must comply with NYC building codes, Local Law 86 (LEED Silver), and strict tree‑protection requirements. • Demolition and removal of existing benches, fountains, curbs, mechanical pits, and other site fixtures (Item 108 – capped at $25K). • Grading, sub‑grade preparation, and installation of concrete pavers (custom specs) with asphalt base and bituminous setting bed. • Installation of 8 steel pipe bollards (4 fixed, 4 removable) with concrete footings, powder‑coat finish, and padlocks. • Comprehensive landscape work: planting of dozens of tree and shrub species, mulch, boulder placement, and irrigation support. • Installation of park security lighting, electrical service coordination, and associated civil‑utility work, all under LEED‑Silver sustainability guidelines.
