Furnish and Delivery of Three (3) 10 Inch Storm Pumps

The County of Maui is seeking bids for the furnishing and delivery of three (3) 10 inch storm pumps for the Department of Public Works, Highways Division. The pumps must meet specific minimum specifications, including being trailer-mounted, diesel-driven, self-priming centrifugal units suitable for stormwater, solids handling, and unattended operation. The pumps must also have a minimum flow rate of 3,500 GPM at 25 feet Total Dynamic Head (TDH) and 3,000 GPM at 50 feet TDH. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Key features of the pumps include: • Trailer-mounted, diesel-driven, self-priming centrifugal pump unit • Suitable for emergency stormwater pumping, solids-handling applications, and unattended municipal operation • Minimum flow rate of 3,500 GPM at 25 feet TDH and 3,000 GPM at 50 feet TDH • Maximum speed of 2000 RPM • Minimum 25 ft suction lift • Ability to handle minimum 2.6-inch solids (3-inch preferred) • Rated for continuous duty • Fully automatic priming system • Remote monitoring and control system with microprocessor-based control, remote start/stop, GPS tracking, and cellular communication • Minimum 24-hour runtime at 75% load • Lockable fuel cap and visible fuel gauge • DOT compliant trailer with tandem axle, torsion type suspension, electrical activated brakes, and ST 225/75/R15 tires • Corrosion protection suitable for coastal/salt air environments • Complete set of operator, service, and parts manuals • Minimum 4 hours of on-site training • Minimum one (1) year comprehensive pump warranty The bidder must also provide a factory-authorized service facility located on the island of Maui.
