MSU RFP 26-12 Kitchen Exhaust System Cleaning Services

Montana State University is seeking proposals for kitchen exhaust system cleaning services throughout the MSU-Bozeman Culinary Services Division areas. The contract term is from execution through April 15, 2028, with possible renewals up to 7 years. The selected contractor will be required to provide all necessary materials, labor, and expertise for the preventive maintenance and cleaning of the kitchen exhaust hood system, including hoods, ducts, and fans. The contractor must also provide a work plan, methods, and timeframes for accomplishing the work, as well as a cost proposal. Some key requirements include: • Removing combustible contaminants in all hoods, grease removal devices, blowers, fans, rooftop fans, ducts, and ductwork • Providing before and after photos, a separate data sheet describing the condition of each hood prior to cleaning, and any problems encountered • Maintaining insurance against claims for injuries to persons or damages to property • Complying with prevailing wage requirements and Montana resident preference • Providing transition assistance in the event of contract termination or non-renewal • Participating in cooperative purchasing agreements, if agreeable to the bidder/offeror
