Underground Electric Ditching Services

The City of Edmond Public Works Authority is soliciting bids to furnish all required supplies, equipment, tools, and plant; to perform all necessary labor for Underground Electric Ditching Services. The proposed effective date for the award will be July 1, 2026, and the expiration date would be June 30, 2027, with the option to renew annually for four additional one-year periods. The contractor will be responsible for installing approximately twenty-five service ditches ranging from fifty feet to three hundred and fifty feet each month, as well as other excavation as needed for the installation of Edmond Electric’s Underground Residential Distribution (URD) system for the development of residential subdivisions. • The contractor must provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, and supplies for the ditching and backhoe services required for installations of, and modifications to, the City of Edmond’s Electrical Distribution System. • The contractor must pick up work orders daily from the Edmond Electric Department and complete the work as directed by the City’s duly authorized representative. • The contractor must provide and maintain suitable and safe bridges, detours, barricades, signing, lighting, striping, and/or other temporary expedients for the accommodation of public and private travel. • The contractor must comply with all laws and regulations on taxes, licenses, and permits. • The contractor must provide arc flash clothing meeting or exceeding Edmond Electric’s Arc Flash Policy requirements while performing work in or near energized equipment and lines.
