Top Wind Tunnels

The U.S. Army TMDE Activity is seeking to procure two portable wind tunnels for OCONUS use by engineers and technicians supporting customers with hot‑wire anemometers. The tunnels must meet precise performance criteria (air speeds 1.5‑50 m/s, turbulence ≤ 1 %, noise ≤ 90 dB, dimensions ≤ 10 × 3 × 6 ft, fit through a 32‑in door) and include calibrated measurement equipment, non‑subscription software, and optional computer hardware. Units will be shipped to Germany and South Korea, requiring compliance with 220 V 16 A power and possible caster frames for units > 45 kg. • Generate air speeds 1.5‑50 m/s with ≤ 0.75 % measurement uncertainty. • Turbulence intensity ≤ 1 %; motor noise ≤ 90 dB at max speed. • Test chamber size 4‑12 in square cross‑section; overall size ≤ 10 × 3 × 6 ft, door‑compatible. • Power: 220 V single‑phase, 16 A; motor noise limit. • Includes calibration support, software (no annual fees, offline, export capability), and optional PC. • Delivery to TMDE Support Centers in Kaiserslautern, Germany and Camp Carroll, South Korea.
