MWWTP Effluent FM Surge & Transient Design Build Services (UN 1282)

The County Commissioners of Charles County are requesting sealed proposals from qualified firms to design and construct an upgrade to the Effluent Filters and associated structural, mechanical equipment, piping, and accessories for a Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Charles County, MD. The primary purpose of the Project is for the Design and Construction of a new standpipe with separate influent and effluent pipes that join with the existing force main. The Design-Build Teams will be required to provide complete turn-key services for the Project including design, permitting, furnishing and installing and equipment, testing and start up, contract close out to provide a complete and fully functioning system. Key aspects of the project include: * Design and construction of a new 40-ft. diameter standpipe with spiral staircase, platform, piped overflow, overflow swale, influent, effluent and bypass vaults * Installation of new ductile iron pipe, fittings, valves, and miscellaneous improvements such as sump pumps and drainage, electrical and instrumentation and pavement and yard restoration * The project will require the Design-Build Teams to have experience in design and construction of municipal water or wastewater treatment plants with rated capacity of five (5) mgd or greater. The proposal submission shall include a technical proposal and a cost proposal. The technical proposal shall include the project team's organizational structure, key personnel qualifications, and experience. The cost proposal shall include the proposed cost for the project, including all labor, materials, equipment, and services.
