Updated Request for Proposals For Food Service Management Services

The Weehawken Township Board of Education is seeking a qualified Food Service Management Company to operate all school‑nutrition programs for the 2026‑2027 academic year under a cost‑reimbursable contract. The contractor will be responsible for full‑service management, including menu planning, procurement (with Buy‑American compliance), handling USDA‑donated foods, staffing (management and hourly employees), equipment acquisition (if required), monthly invoicing, and comprehensive reporting/audits. The award will be based on total cost and qualitative factors such as food quality, management capability, and experience. • Provide complete management of NSLP, SBP, ASSP, CEP, and related programs, complying with USDA and NJDA regulations. • Deliver all staffing (management and hourly) or selected staffing option, and manage procurement, meal counting, and cash‑sale reporting. • Submit monthly cost‑reimbursement invoices, annual operating statements, and required certifications (SOC‑1, debarment, etc.). • Maintain required insurance, bonds, and Buy‑American nondomestic food limits; allow audits and provide equipment amortization if equipment is purchased.
