ITB27-024 Central Peninsula Landfill – Transfer Site

The Kenai Peninsula Borough is seeking qualified firms to construct the Central Peninsula Landfill Transfer Site. The scope includes site clearing, grading, placement of an 8‑inch gravel base, utility relocation, installation of electrical conduit and lighting, construction of concrete footings for utility poles, erection of chain‑link fencing, and associated civil works such as storm‑drain and erosion control. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, permits, and comply with Alaska Title 36 wage requirements, bonding, and insurance obligations. • Site preparation: demolition, grading, and 8‑in. KPB Type II gravel base on prepared subgrade. • Utility work: reuse of existing 60 A power, install conduit, branch circuits, pole‑mount lighting, photocell control, and seismic bracing. • Structural elements: concrete pylon foundations, chain‑link fence installation, and storm‑drain system. • Compliance: 5 % bid bond (if > $100k), performance & payment bonds, Title 36 wage schedule, and full insurance coverage.
