Lease of Oki Park Open Space

The City of Sacramento’s Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment Department is seeking a nonprofit, community‑based organization to lease approximately 2 acres of Oki Park Open Space for urban‑farm and community‑garden use. The lessee will operate the site, provide public programming, and assume all operational, maintenance, and irrigation costs in lieu of paying rent. The contract is a five‑year lease with one optional five‑year extension, and the City will not provide direct monetary compensation; revenue must be generated by the operator through program fees, grants, donations, or other sources. • Operate and manage the park area, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and compliance with City rules and easement requirements. • Provide community‑engagement and educational programs related to urban agriculture, youth and senior activities, and public access. • Perform all maintenance (trash removal, irrigation, graffiti remediation, etc.) and cover water utility costs; use only organic inputs and adhere to strict environmental and safety standards.
