2025 Water Supply Improvements

The City of Walterboro is seeking contractors to design‑build a new water supply system and upgrade existing infrastructure. The scope includes drilling a new 400 GPM well, constructing a wellhouse, installing a chlorination system and associated piping, performing site work, and providing a 100 kW emergency generator. Additionally, the project calls for renovating the existing Well No. 4AB Stevens to increase capacity from 1,100 GPM to 1,300 GPM, adding a new 300 kW generator, and related appurtenances. This Design‑Bid‑Build contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder under standard municipal procurement rules. • New 400 GPM “Thunderbolt Drive” well with wellhouse and full treatment system • Renovation of existing well to boost flow to 1,300 GPM and install larger generator • Comprehensive site work, piping, and emergency power provisions (100 kW & 300 kW generators)
