The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is seeking a single, pre‑approved source to supply 134 aircraft fuel tanks (NSN 7R‑1560‑015317578‑QE). The item is flight‑critical; therefore, only sources already approved by the Government’s design‑control activity may be considered. Prospective vendors must submit the required Source Approval Information (SAI) brochure documentation with their proposal, demonstrating engineering, manufacturing, and repair capabilities, as well as possession of any proprietary data or technical knowledge essential to maintain part quality. The solicitation is issued under FAR 6.302‑1 (sole‑source) and will consider proposals received within 45 days of publication (30 days if a Basic Ordering Agreement is used). No competitive bidding is anticipated, but the Government may decide to pursue competition based on the responses. This is a Critical Safety Item (CSI) and all applicable DFARS clauses apply.
