Notification of Class Special Procurement Determination for In-Kind, Brand Specific (Floway Pumps)

The Sunrise Water Authority is seeking to purchase two Floway 12”DOM - 7 stage pumps for the Mather Road Pump Station. The pumps are required to be identical to the original Pump #3 that was installed in 1983. The authority has determined that replacing the existing pumps with the exact same model is the best fit for the flow and head design conditions of the pump station. The procurement is being conducted as a Class Special Procurement, which allows for in-kind equipment products that result in an efficient utilization of existing/compatible systems. • The project involves the replacement of two pumps at the Mather Road Pump Station. • The pumps must be Floway 12”DOM - 7 stage pumps, identical to the original Pump #3. • The procurement is being conducted as a Sole Source procurement. • The estimated total value of the contract is not to exceed $200,000.
