Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Sensor Deployment

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Mount Washington Observatory for sensor deployment near the summit of Mount Washington in New Hampshire. The contract requires services of site access, field support, and data products supporting a sensor deployment. The anticipated Period of Performance (POP) is one 12-month base period and three 12-month option periods. The contractor shall provide field support services, data products, site access, deployment and maintenance support to advance the research project. Key aspects of the job include: • Support Services: field support services and data products to CRREL • Data Products: raw data and formatted summary reports from meteorological stations • Site Access: site access support to CRREL during the funded period • Deployment and Maintenance Support: support during sensor deployment and maintenance throughout the year The contractor must be able to provide a stable, climate-controlled setting for sensitive instrumentation and continuous, year-round access to the site for maintenance.
