Fleet Building Renovation

The City of Coconut Creek is seeking a qualified, licensed General Contractor to fully renovate its Fleet Building (4900 W Copans Rd). The renovation includes structural hardening, roof replacement, new lightning protection, solar array installation, impact‑rated doors and windows, interior finishes, HVAC, electrical upgrades, mezzanine replacement, and site safety fencing while keeping the vehicle bays operational during normal business hours. The contractor must provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100 % of the contract price and comply with extensive safety, insurance, and data‑security requirements. • Scope: structural upgrades, roof & gutter replacement, solar PV system, impact‑rated doors/windows, interior millwork, flooring, ceilings, HVAC, electrical, ATS, fire protection, fence, painting, CCTV relocation. • Must maintain fleet operations during M‑Th 6:30 am‑6:00 pm; limited weekend work anticipated. • Mandatory bonds: 5 % bid bond; 100 % performance & payment bonds after award. • Pre‑bid conference (9/16) and site visit (9/22) are optional but encouraged. • Bid submission electronically via eBid system by 10/13/2026. • Contractor responsible for all permits, safety plans, and compliance with Florida statutes.
