Deferred Compensation Consultant

Washington County, Oregon is seeking a Deferred Compensation Consultant to provide coordination and oversight in areas related to compliance and fiduciary duties of the County’s 457(b) deferred compensation plan and the 401(a) defined contribution plan. The successful proposer will act as a co-fiduciary for the County’s plans, assist County staff in managing relationships with plan providers, conduct on-going review of service levels from plan providers, and provide education and information to internal committee members. • The consultant will conduct periodic RFPs to evaluate service providers in the market to ensure that Washington County is favorably positioned related to competitive pricing, fees, and investment options. • The consultant will review investment policy statements and make recommendations as needed to ensure due diligence. • The consultant will provide periodic analysis of investment options offered by plan providers, ensuring options offered provide an appropriate mix of investment types that spread investment risk over multiple investment options. • The consultant will provide periodic analysis of investment options offered by plan providers, ensuring options offered are performing favorably compared to peers and appropriate indexes.
