Refuse Collection Services

The University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive refuse‑collection services across its Kansas City main campus and two Fairway sites. The work includes solid waste (MSW) pickup, cardboard compaction, mixed recycling, special (asbestos) waste handling, construction/debris/green‑waste disposal, container leasing and maintenance, as well as temporary‑unit provision and equipment repair support. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre‑bid conference, submit a fully‑signed proposal via email, and price services using the provided Excel cost worksheet; the award will be based on the lowest responsive bid calculated from the grand‑total estimated annual cost. • Scope covers MSW, cardboard, recycling, special waste, construction waste, container leasing, temporary units, and labor/repair services. • Contract term is 1‑year with up to four optional one‑year renewals, commencing November 1 2026. • Mandatory pre‑bid conference on September 15 2026; bid submission deadline is September 22 2026 at 2 pm Central.
