1674 Southerly Solids Handling Improvements

The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) is seeking a qualified contractor to execute a comprehensive suite of upgrades and repairs to its Southerly Solids Handling facilities (Project #1674). The work includes: • Improvements to the Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit process • Installation of a new liquid sludge receiving station • Replacement of piping, valves, and vaults for two sludge force‑main vaults • Upgrade of the waste‑heat boiler conveyance system to a slurry system • Replacement and backup of scrubber drain headers • Cleaning of four sludge storage tanks (SSTs) • Replacement of exhaust fans and dome modifications in four SSTs • Installation of air‑bubble mixing systems in four SSTs • Replacement of the maintenance building lift station • Structural repairs to six gravity thickeners • Replacement of an aerated grit concrete trailer pad • Construction of a new employee asphalt parking lot • Renovation of the Waste Liquor Handling Building (including a new bathroom) • Replacement of grease piping between the DAF unit and the Renewable Energy Facility • Pipe removal and replacement in Tunnel 5 with new supports The contract will be awarded to the low‑priced responsible bidder(s) meeting all qualification requirements.
