Financial Audit Services

Washington County is seeking a qualified independent certified public accounting firm to conduct the annual audit of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (ACFR) for Washington County and its component units, as well as the Single Audit. The audit shall be performed in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Government Auditing Standards (GAS), U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133, and other applicable federal and state regulations. The selected firm will be expected to report on the group financial statements, as well as the component financial statements of four blended component units. The firm will also provide compliance reports as required under Federal and State laws. • The audit will include an examination of the combined financial statements and related notes. • The firm will provide a report on the Single Audit, including a reconciled Schedule of Federal Assistance by CFDA number. • The firm will provide a management letter with recommendations to management. • The firm will provide technical assistance throughout the fiscal year, including answers to accounting, reporting, or internal control questions.
