M/WBE GENERAL CONSTRUCTION - SMALL PROJECTS

The NYC Department of Design and Construction (DDC) is creating a pre‑qualified list (PQL) of Minority‑ and Women‑Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) that can serve as general contractors on a variety of capital construction projects classified as “small” (estimated costs $500K‑$5M). Only firms certified by the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) are eligible. Once approved, contractors will be placed on a roster from which DDC can issue future construction work orders without additional competitive bidding for each individual project. • Eligibility: Must be a certified M/WBE through NYC SBS. • Scope: General construction (labor, materials, equipment) for capital projects ranging from $500,000 to under $5,000,000. • Procurement: This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to build the PQL; no price proposals are required at this stage. • Timeline: Publication 4/24/2025; submission deadline 12/31/2099 5:00 PM. • Contact: Lorraine Holley for any questions or submission assistance.
