Lightweight Tripod

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources with experience in light manufacturing capabilities, including robotic welding and material finishing. The survey aims to inform future U.S. Government acquisition decisions and identify potential sources for the manufacture of the M205 Tripod and the M192 Lightweight Ground Mount (LWGM). The M205 Tripod is used with the M2/M2A1 Cal .50 Machine Guns and the MK19 40mm Grenade Machine Gun, while the M192 LWGM is used with the M240B/L 7.62mm Medium Machine Guns and the M249 5.56mm Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW). • The M205 Tripod and M192 LWGM provide a stable firing platform for delivering controlled, sustained, and accurate fire at extended ranges. • The manufacture of the M205 Tripod and M192 LWGM involves various bent sheet metal parts, intricate machined features, and robotic welding. • Interested firms should submit information, including literature/brochures, describing production capability and quality assurance plan. • The submission should address the ability to produce both types of items, current monthly sustainable production rate, production lead time, and key tooling and equipment available.
