The City and Borough of Wrangell is seeking developers or contractors to submit proposals for the acquisition and development of all or part of a 134‑acre municipal parcel located within the City of Wrangell. The goal is to create a community‑benefiting use that expands the tax base and provides local employment. Proposals must include developer qualifications, a summary of the development concept, anticipated community benefits, purchase price terms, a detailed action plan (construction cost estimate, schedule, site‑preparation, utility development, phasing, parking, and any requested incentives), and a draft development agreement. The solicitation does not prescribe a specific land‑use; mixed‑use, residential, commercial, tourism, or industrial concepts are all acceptable subject to rezoning from the current “Holding” district. The City will evaluate proposals based on completeness, experience, community impact, and financial feasibility, and reserves the right to reject all proposals or negotiate after the deadline.
