#2 Heating Fuel & Maintenance

The Town of South Kingstown is seeking sealed bids for #2 Heating Fuel & Maintenance for Town and School buildings. The contract period will be from November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2027, with an option to extend for one additional year. The contractor will be responsible for providing approximately 18,000 gallons of #2 Fuel Oil and performing maintenance and repair services on fuel oil burners at various Town and School facilities. The contractor must have a 24-hour, 7-day/week answering service and competent mechanics for oil burner maintenance and repair. • The contractor must provide #2 Fuel Oil that conforms to U.S. National Bureau of Standards and ASTM standards. • The contractor must have a laboratory analysis of the product, which may be required at any time during the contract term. • The contractor must provide an hourly rate for service and have a cost-plus percentage markup for parts and equipment. • The contractor must submit documentation of cost from suppliers if required. • The contractor must have workers' compensation insurance, general liability insurance, and auto liability insurance. • The contractor must defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Town of South Kingstown from any loss or damage arising from the contractor's negligence.
