Description:
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is seeking a contractor to provide campuswide scrap metal recycling services. The contractor will be responsible for collecting and recycling scrap metal from AOC locations in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. The contractor must have at least one facility within 25 miles of the U.S. Capitol and have the capacity to furnish labor, materials, and equipment for the collection and recycling of scrap metal. The contract will be for a period of five years, with a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. The contractor will be required to provide monthly status reports and make payments to the AOC based on the American Metals Market (AMM) publication's price at Chicago on the first reporting day of each month. • The contractor must have experience in collecting, recycling, and processing scrap metal. • The contractor must have a facility within 25 miles of the U.S. Capitol. • The contractor must be able to provide labor, materials, and equipment for the collection and recycling of scrap metal. • The contractor must be able to negotiate payment terms and work within the federal payment system. • The contractor must be able to provide a transition-in plan and a transition-out plan.
