2026 Pole Replacement Project

This solicitation seeks contractors to replace approximately 170 electric distribution poles (13.8 kV and below) throughout Butler County, Ohio, for the City of Hamilton. The work includes removal of existing poles, installation of new poles of varying configurations, transfer of primary and secondary services, installation of guying and anchor assemblies, and associated mobilization and site support services. Bidders must provide detailed pricing for each pole type and associated labor/materials, adhering to specific construction standards provided in the attachment set. • Replace secondary and primary poles of various configurations (single‑phase, multi‑phase, dead‑end, tangent) with quantities ranging from 2 to 103 units per item. • Transfer and upgrade of primary, secondary, and transformer services (42 pole‑mount transformer transfers, 14 primary lateral transfers, 64 secondary service transfers). • Install new guy wires and anchor assemblies (16 new 7#10 guys, 9 new 6‑ or 14‑inch anchors). • Provide mobilization, pole dumpster rental, traffic maintenance, and a $50,000 contingency. • All work must comply with the City’s standard construction specifications and prevailing wage requirements.
