School Funding Cost Study

The State of Montana, Legislative Branch is seeking information regarding an individual or organization to act as an advising consultant to the School Funding Interim Commission and Commission staff. The consultant will conduct a limited cost study of the basic system of elementary and secondary schools using the “successful schools” methodology and serve as a resource for the Commission’s examination of various school funding topics. The project is expected to take place between January 1, 2026, and September 1, 2026. • The consultant will provide a brief description of their past experience providing similar services. • The consultant will identify any potential problems/risks that the State may encounter during the project. • The consultant will provide ideas or suggestions about how such problems/risks should be addressed in a solicitation. • The consultant will provide an estimated timeframe for completing the project. • The consultant will provide an estimated price range to provide the services/supplies described in this RFI.
