Bulk Road Salt

The Town of Westerly is seeking bids for the purchase of bulk road salt delivered to their facility. The estimated amount of road salt ordered per season is approximately 1,500 tons. The successful bidder will be required to provide all equipment and deliver the road salt to the specified location. The bid must be firm for a minimum of 120 days from the date of submission. • The road salt must meet certain specifications, including a minimum of 99.6% sodium chloride, meeting ASTM particle size requirements, and being treated with an anti-caking agent. • The bidder must provide a lump sum proposal for the scope of work described in the request for quotation. • The contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder deemed most favorable to the interest of the Town. • The successful bidder will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
