Z--Bradbury Dam Outlet Valve Replacement

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is soliciting a contractor to replace two existing 30‑inch fixed‑cone outlet valves and associated equipment at Bradbury Dam (Cachuma Project, CA). The scope includes demolition of existing valves, design and installation of new valve supports, electrical system upgrades, provision of a temporary bypass pump, site preparation, environmental protection, testing, and training. Work must be coordinated with the Contracting Officer’s Representative, adhere to strict interruption‑of‑service windows (Sept 1 – Mar 31), and meet a functional completion date of December 15 2027. The contractor will also manage a Contract Document Management System (CDMS) for submittals, RFIs, and reporting. • Remove and dispose of two 30‑in. fixed‑cone valves, supports, actuators, and related conduit. • Design, fabricate, and install new valve supports (PE‑stamped). • Install new fixed‑cone valves, hoods, butterfly valves, reducers, and actuators. • Perform full electrical design, demolition, and installation of panels, fuses, conduit, and grounding per California‑registered PE. • Provide temporary pump to maintain lake water flow during outage. • Conduct testing (leak, operational, flow performance) and submit detailed test reports. • Deliver training (≤4 hrs, up to 10 participants) and digital training records. • Maintain weekly coordination meetings, site‑use plans, and environmental mitigation (invasive‑species cleaning, erosion control). • Operate and maintain a CDMS for all contract documents, submittals, RFIs, and reports.
