2026 Wood Waste Grinding for the Brown County Landfill

The Brown County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for wood waste grinding services at the Brown County Landfill. The successful bidder will be required to grind designated wood waste stockpiles, including tree logs and branches, and provide optional screen sizes. The grinding equipment must be able to process more than 40 tons of wood waste per hour on average. The contractor will be paid based on grinding hours only, and will be required to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the project. • The contractor must have a minimum of 950 horsepower and provide a magnetized head on the discharge conveyor to remove nails and other metals from ground wood waste. • The contractor must furnish proper certificates of insurance required by Brown County. • The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The contractor must provide a daily log showing grinding hours, start and stop times.
