Snow Removal - Hauling Services

The City of Lincoln is seeking bids for snow removal and hauling services. The city requires approximately 55 trucks to assist in snow removal from city streets. The contractor shall furnish trucks and operators for the purpose of hauling snow during the winter season, which begins on or about November 15 and ends on or about May 1. The contract will be for a one-year term with the option to renew for up to three additional one-year terms. The city intends to evaluate bids based on the cost per hour and the size of the dump box to determine the best value for the city. • The contractor must provide trucks that meet or exceed the specified requirements, including a minimum GVW rating of 44,000 lbs and a dump body capacity of at least 18 cubic yards. • The contractor must employ sufficient operators to provide for continuous around-the-clock operation. • The contractor must notify the city of any mechanical failure to the truck(s) that prevent its use for hauling snow. • The city reserves the right to reject any units that do not meet the specifications.
