Operating and Management Services - Harman Center

The City of Yakima is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to manage and operate the Harman Center, a senior community center that provides recreational, educational, wellness, and social programs for adults 50 and older. The selected operator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the center, including staffing, programming, and maintenance. The operator will also be expected to maintain the center's mission of enhancing the quality of life for older adults through engaging services, volunteerism, and community involvement. Some key responsibilities include: • Regular public operating hours • Recreational, educational, wellness, and social programming • Volunteer engagement opportunities • Facility rental and community-use scheduling • Community outreach and engagement activities • A safe, clean, and welcoming environment for participants and visitors. The City is looking for an operator that can independently manage and sustain facility operations without financial support from the City. The selected operator will be granted the right to occupy and operate the facility and retain revenues generated through approved activities in exchange for fulfilling all operational obligations.
