Description

The United States Marine Corps is seeking a contractor to provide a 48-foot refrigerated trailer for lease for a period of five months, from 1 May 2026 through 30 September 2026. The trailer must be capable of operating as both a refrigerator (30F) and a freezer (down to 0F), and must support easy loading/unloading, with the ability to be picked up, dropped off, and repositioned as needed. The contractor shall perform all preventive and corrective maintenance at no additional cost. The trailer will be used to store food, and shore power (240V / 60 amp / 3-phase) will be available onsite. Some key points to consider: * The trailer must be 48 feet long and have a minimum width of 8 feet and a maximum width of 10 feet. * The trailer must have roll-up style rear doors and be compatible with standard dock height. * The contractor must provide a replacement unit within 48 hours in the event of equipment failure or inability to maintain required temperatures. * The lease price shall be all-inclusive, to include delivery, setup, and pickup/removal. * The government will provide fuel for diesel operation, if required. * There are specific site access procedures and delivery restrictions for the installation.

Budget estimate

$5,000 – $15,000

The budget for this opportunity can be estimated based on the lease price of a refrigerated trailer. The lease price can range from $500 to $2,000 per month, depending on the location, duration, and specifications of the lease. For a five-month lease, the total budget can range from $2,500 to $10,000. However, this is a rough estimate and the actual budget may vary based on the specific requirements of the opportunity and the bids submitted by contractors. The factors that may influence the likely payment range include the size and type of trailer, the lease duration, the location, and the level of maintenance and support required. Given these factors, a more realistic estimate for the budget would be between $5,000 and $15,000.
