Temporary Staffing Services

The City of Milpitas is seeking to contract with multiple qualified vendors to provide temporary staffing services for the City on an as-requested basis. Qualified temporary staffing firms should have expertise in sourcing, screening, and providing quality personnel for a variety of positions. The City is looking for vendors who can provide personnel for administrative, clerical, professional, technical, and trade-related services within a condensed timeframe. The selected vendors will be required to comply with all local, state, and federal requirements with respect to minimum wage and prevailing wage. Some key responsibilities of the selected vendors include: providing temporary staffing as requested by the City, conducting background and reference checks, administering and maintaining all temporary personnel employment and payroll records, and making all unemployment compensation contributions to employees. The vendors will also be required to provide status reports on a monthly basis and submit timecards for each temporary staff member to the City on a weekly basis for approval. The City is looking for vendors who can provide high-quality services, have a strong track record of delivering similar services, and can demonstrate their ability to meet the City's requirements. The selected vendors will be expected to work closely with the City's Human Resources Department and other departments as needed.
