Commercial Trace Gas Analyzer

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a commercial trace gas analyzer. The analyzer will be used to serve as a benchmark for newly developed ultra-sensitive optical diagnostics and to verify the performance of new analytical instrumentation. The desired analyzer should have a detection limit of less than 1 part-per-billion of impurities, including hydrogen, carbon monoxide, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and argon, in pure gases such as helium, nitrogen, and argon. • The analyzer should be configured for the analysis of gases delivered through a regulator from a gas cylinder. • The analyzer should have the capability for online sampling with gas flow delivered by a mass flow controller. • The analyzer should have automated data acquisition suitable for routine laboratory diagnostics. • The analyzer should have software to control all functions, with documentation providing information on how to control sample sequence and method development. • The contractor should provide paper and/or electronic versions of the operations and maintenance manuals.
