Energy Consulting Services

The City of Woonsocket is seeking a qualified energy consultant to provide energy consulting services, including procurement of natural gas, oil, electricity, and other energy resources at competitive prices, assistance in energy evaluation, and negotiation with energy providers. The consultant will also assist in developing a plan for energy procurement and delivery, evaluating responses to procurement solicitations, and providing energy price management services. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for up to three additional years. • The consultant will provide services related to energy procurement, including analysis of energy commodities markets and municipal aggregation. • The consultant will assist in the development of a plan for procurement and delivery of energy sources to the City's facilities. • The consultant will evaluate responses to procurement solicitations and provide energy price management services. • The consultant will assist in negotiating contracts with energy suppliers and provide market monitoring and price management services. • The consultant will analyze retail providers' utility rates and programs and develop contracts with suppliers focused on implementing measurable goals and objectives for managing energy consumption.
