Vulcan Gates Maintenance and Repair

This solicitation establishes a master agreement for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and replacement of the Valtir‑manufactured Vulcan Gate barrier system used on Kentucky state highways. The award‑ee will respond to delivery orders issued by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) Division of Maintenance for any required work, which includes visual inspections, debris removal, lubrication, component replacement, and traffic control setup in accordance with MUTCD standards. Work may be performed during off‑peak hours and must comply with strict safety, insurance, and reporting requirements. The contract runs from award until 31 Oct 2027 with an option for four one‑year renewals. • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on Vulcan Gate barriers (inspection, cleaning, lubrication, part replacement). • Replace damaged modular sections with original manufacturer components. • Provide and manage traffic control devices per MUTCD for all work activities. • Submit invoices and required reports; maintain required insurance (CGL $1 M/$2 M, auto $1 M, workers’ comp, etc.). • Comply with KYTC’s procurement, reporting, and subcontractor requirements.
