The U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is conducting market research for rapid‑prototype solutions to the Silent Anvil Air‑Launched Torpedo (SAA‑LT) standoff delivery system. The effort seeks industry input on two design pathways – a full end‑to‑end weapon system or a modular wing‑kit that carries a government‑furnished torpedo. The goal is to demonstrate an end‑to‑end prototype within 18 months of award and then produce up to 180 prototype rounds over the following three years. Respondents must submit a capabilities statement (10 pages for one option, 15 pages for both) covering corporate background, technical approach, schedule, manufacturability, cost ROM, risk mitigation, and security clearance (SECRET).
