Description
Oklahoma State University’s Chemistry Department is seeking a vendor to design, supply, install, and commission a functional compressed‑air system to support its existing Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectrometers across multiple laboratories. The scope includes replacing four aging reciprocating compressors with two new oil‑less 30‑HP multiplex scroll compressors, adding appropriate dryers, filtration, control/human‑machine interface, and integrating the new equipment with existing wet‑receiver, refrigerated dryer, and ballast tanks. The vendor must be an authorized distributor for the selected equipment brand and must provide ongoing service and maintenance capability.
• Provide two 30‑HP oil‑less scroll compressors (≈75 SCFM each) with controllers, HMI, and after‑coolers.
• Supply and install one (or two) desiccant dryers, coalescing and particulate filters, and all required piping/hardware.
• Remove existing reciprocating compressors, perform full electrical work, pressure testing, leak repair, and commission the system to meet clean‑air specifications (oil < 0.005 ppm, dew‑point ≤ ‑40 °F).
• Optional: offer a second dryer and a multi‑year service contract.
The project must be completed within calendar 2026 (preferably by 1 September 2026) and follows a best‑value evaluation with cost weighting 35 %.
