The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole‑source, firm‑fixed‑price contract to Altorfer Industries Inc. for the complete replacement of obsolete paralleling switchgear control systems in Building 226 of the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital (Hines, IL). The contractor will provide all labor, management, materials, equipment, tools, travel, safety oversight, and incidentals required to remove legacy controls and install Schneider Electric Ethernet‑based PLC processors with Control Expert software, along with associated communication hardware.
