2026-040 Whipple and Middle Utility Railroad Crossings

The City of Lewiston is seeking bids for the construction of utility railroad crossings at Whipple and Middle Streets. The project includes the installation of storm drain and sanitary sewer pipes, as well as the relocation of a sprinkler service. The contractor will be responsible for all necessary excavation, piping, and paving work. The project is expected to take approximately 90 days to complete. • Installation of approximately 320 linear feet of 24-inch storm drain pipe • Installation of approximately 105 linear feet of 4-inch to 18-inch storm drain pipe • Installation of a jack-and-bore 24-inch steel sleeve under the railroad for a storm drain • Installation of 145 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe with one manhole structure • Strip and pave Whipple Street full-width from approximately STA 31+25 to 33+25
