The City of Valdez Building Maintenance Department is creating a professional‑services roster for future building‑maintenance work. Contractors of all trades (general contracting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, doors, glass, elevators, boilers, etc.) may submit a quote package at any time to be considered for upcoming small‑scale repair and renovation projects across more than 80 municipal facilities. Preference is given to local firms, and the City will award work based on qualifications, availability, and competitive pricing. The solicitation is open‑ended with no fixed closing date; quotes are accepted via mail, fax, email, or in person. • Open‑ended “open until contracted” solicitation – submit quotes anytime. • Covers a broad range of building‑maintenance trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.). • Preference for local (Valdez) contractors; disadvantaged, minority, and women‑owned firms are encouraged. • Required documentation: Alaska contractor license, business licenses (state & city), proof of insurance, contact information for authorized representatives. • Submissions accepted at the Building Maintenance Supervisor’s office, by email to Stanley Porritt, fax, or in person. • No set award or project‑duration dates; work will be assigned on a per‑project basis as needs arise.
