Description
The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) is seeking qualified suppliers to provide a full suite of K‑9 equipment and related supplies for the Governor Kay Ivey Correctional Complex. The contract will be awarded on a “all‑or‑none” basis to the vendor offering the highest percentage discount on each line item, with no minimum order quantity and delivery required within 30 days of each purchase order. The contract term is an initial 12‑month period with up to four optional 12‑month extensions, contingent on written approvals. Delivery must be made to the correctional complex’s support warehouse and cannot occur on weekends or state holidays; the supplier bears any re‑delivery costs. The solicitation is posted on Alabama Buys, questions are due by June 23 2026, and bids close on June 29 2026.
• Scope covers 16 K‑9 product categories (bite suits, leashes, lines, harnesses, bowls, grooming kits, first‑aid kits, crate pads, scent‑training kits, etc.) plus optional “other supplies” and shipping items.
• Pricing is submitted as a percentage discount off the manufacturer’s list price; the state will pay the lowest price available (including promotional or public pricing).
• No contract ceiling is disclosed; the state may order as few as one unit per line item, so revenue depends on order volume.
• Supplier must be registered on Alabama Buys, comply with E‑Verify, provide tax exemption documentation, and agree to a most‑favored‑customer clause.
