PVD25-130 Sodium Chloride 25-26 Winter Season

The City of Providence is seeking bids for the furnishing and delivery of sodium chloride (rock salt) for ice control operations during the 2025/2026 Winter Season. The contract will cover the period from November 1, 2025, to May 1, 2026. The City estimates that it will require between 8,000 and 12,000 tons of sodium chloride during this period. Bidders must provide secure, weather-protected storage for the City's seasonal allocation and deliver the sodium chloride within 8 hours of notification by the City. The City reserves the right to reject any bid and to cancel the order if the awarded vendor fails to perform. • The City used approximately 10,000 tons of sodium chloride during the 2024/2025 season. • The City estimates requirements for the 2025/2026 season may range between 8,000 and 12,000 tons. • The City makes no guarantee of specific quantities, and the contract shall cover actual quantities ordered during the term. • The awarded vendor shall provide secure, weather-protected storage for the City's seasonal allocation until called for delivery. • Deliveries shall be made between 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, seven (7) days per week, upon eight (8) hours' notification by the City.
