Description
The U.S. Navy’s Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is seeking a vendor to lease a single, portable 100% make‑up Environmental Control Unit (ECU) to provide conditioned, dry air for a priming room within a temporary two‑room industrial structure in Kittery, Maine. The ECU must meet specific temperature (70‑90 °F), humidity (<60 % RH), and air‑change (≥4 ACH) requirements, be capable of continuous outdoor operation in harsh weather, and include remote thermostat/humidistat control, emergency‑stop wiring, and 20‑inch duct connections. The contractor is responsible for delivery, installation, commissioning, routine maintenance, emergency repair (within 24 h), training shipyard personnel, and eventual removal at lease end. Security clearance for all onsite personnel is required, and the lease period is 12 months with three optional one‑year extensions.
