RFSQ - DNA Laboratory Services

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is seeking qualified companies to provide DNA Laboratory Services for the Department’s Scientific Services Bureau. The services include DNA testing using Short Tandem Repeat (STR) kits, binary mixture interpretation/deconvolution protocol, and STRmix probabilistic genotyping software. The vendor must meet the minimum mandatory qualifications, including ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation, compliance with quality assurance standards, and experience in forensic criminal DNA testing. The vendor will be required to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) that includes their qualifications, experience, and capabilities. The key aspects of the job include: • Providing DNA Laboratory Services for the Department’s Scientific Services Bureau • Meeting the minimum mandatory qualifications, including ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation and compliance with quality assurance standards • Submitting a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) that includes their qualifications, experience, and capabilities • Performing DNA testing using Short Tandem Repeat (STR) kits and binary mixture interpretation/deconvolution protocol • Using STRmix probabilistic genotyping software to analyze data generated from Promega PowerPlex Fusion 6C STR amplification kit • Providing at least three references from government law enforcement crime laboratories to verify their experience in forensic criminal DNA testing
