RFP Custodial Services

The Greater Portland Transit District (GPM) is seeking proposals for custodial services at its main office location and customer service location. The scope of work includes daily cleaning services, 5 days a week, with an option for a 6th day. The contract will be for a term of up to 3 years, with the first date of service expected to begin on September 29, 2025. The selected firm will be required to provide all necessary custodial materials and supplies. Proposals will be evaluated based on understanding of the project, approach, quality, cost, qualifications, experience, and references. • The main office location consists of 2 conference rooms, 4 lounge/kitchen areas, 16 individual or shared offices, 2 cubical areas, 10 stalled and individual restrooms, and 2 customer waiting areas. • The customer service location consists of 2 individual or shared offices, 1 customer waiting area, 1 lounge area, and 2 stalled restrooms. • The scope of work includes emptying waste baskets, spot cleaning glass doors and partitions, vacuuming carpets, cleaning sinks, and mopping floors. • The contractor will be required to provide evidence of general liability, professional liability, automobile liability, and worker's compensation insurance. • The contract award is contingent upon receipt of federal financial assistance provided by a U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Urbanized Area Formula Grant.
