Furnishing and Delivery of Three (3) Each 29' Heavy Duty Clean Diesel Wheelchair Accessible Transit Buses

The County of Kauai is seeking bids for the furnishing and delivery of three (3) each 29' heavy duty clean diesel wheelchair accessible transit buses. The buses will be used to operate the public transit system. The contractor shall deliver the buses within 270 calendar days from the notice to proceed date. The buses must meet the specifications outlined in the bid document, including a minimum service life of 10 years or 350,000 miles. The contractor must also provide a service and repair facility on Kauai, or designate a service and repair facility approved by the equipment manufacturer and the County. • The buses must be wheelchair accessible and meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. • The buses must be equipped with a clean diesel engine and meet the EPA's emissions standards. • The contractor must provide a warranty for the buses and parts for a minimum of 5 years or 200,000 miles. • The contractor must provide training for the County's personnel on the operation and maintenance of the buses.
