Description
The Jackson County Board of Supervisors is seeking unpriced proposals to pre‑qualify vendors for the purchase of two new knuckle‑boom loader trucks to be used by the County’s Solid Waste Department. Vendors must submit sealed or electronic proposals by 1:00 p.m. on 28 Oct 2026. Qualified bidders will be invited to a reverse‑auction on 12 Nov 2026 (or 9 Nov 2026 as noted) where the lowest qualified bid will be awarded. The trucks must meet detailed specifications for chassis, engine, transmission, hydraulics, boom, outriggers, dump body, and safety features, and must be delivered FOB to the West Jackson County landfill. Warranty, manuals, keys, and optional extended warranty options are required. Delivery time, compliance with EPA/CARB emissions, and provision of service support within 150 mi are also mandatory.

• Warranty: minimum 5‑year/150,000‑mile coverage on engine, chassis, transmission, and after‑treatment system
• Optional extended warranty options may be priced separately
• Vendor must demonstrate ability to deliver within the specified calendar days and provide service support within 150 mi radius.
